Job summary

ePlus seeks a Senior Technician to provide basic tech support and troubleshooting for servers, desktops, routers, switches, and operating systems. You will assist with deployment and racking of hardware in desk side and data center environments, delivering service that meets our standards.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years IT experience, an A+ certification, and strong customer-service skills. Growth opportunities include CCNA, MCSE, Network+, Security+ and related certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; technical school or college preferred.
• 2–3 years IT experience.
• A+ certification.
• Good understanding of network/data center environments.
• Basic troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Excellent customer service on phone and in person.
• Professional demeanor and good communication skills.
• Able to come up with solutions quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Basic hardware configuration of servers, desktops, laptops, routers and switches, and operating systems.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs; escalate to engineers as needed.
• Provide deployment and racking of hardware components in desk side and data center settings.
• Serve the customer to ePlus' standards.
• Be available to meet customer IT needs.
• Pursue industry entry-level certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, Network+, Security+.
