Job summary

XiFin in San Diego is seeking a Sr. Manager, IT Systems Engineering to lead the team responsible for designing, securing, automating, and operating XiFin’s enterprise infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud (Azure/AWS).

You will establish the infrastructure roadmap, build a high‑performing group, and partner with Engineering, DevOps, Security, and IT leadership to deliver scalable platforms. The ideal candidate combines advanced Linux expertise with people leadership, strong IaC experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 10+ years of Linux Systems Engineering in enterprise production.
• 5+ years leading infrastructure or systems teams.
• Experience hiring, developing, and managing technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of Linux security, networking, and hardening.
• Experience in on-premises and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• IaC with Ansible, Terraform, Git, GitHub Actions; containers with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Ability to participate in 24x7 on-call leadership rotation.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, lifecycle, and security of Linux infrastructure for SaaS platforms.
• Drive automation and IaC initiatives; establish governance and standards.
• Own availability, reliability, monitoring, and incident response.
• Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing Systems Engineering team.
• Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, Security, and IT leadership.
