Job summary

XiFin is seeking a Senior Leader to own the reliability and evolution of our core database platforms that support our SaaS revenue cycle systems. You will oversee Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, setting standards for architecture, security, and operations across OLTP and data warehousing environments.

The role reports to the SVP, IT and may be titled Director/Sr. Director/AVP based on depth of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• 10+ years of technical database leadership and administration experience.
• 5+ years in designing and implementing database services architecture.
• Proven decision-making impacting database technology direction.
• Healthcare/HIPAA background is a plus but not required.
• Deep knowledge of database architectures, data warehousing, OLTP/OLAP, DSS, BI.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata, Oracle EE, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Strong understanding of data security and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, engineer, design, implement and manage database services across scope.
• Lead project engineering for technologies in scope and ensure timely delivery.
• Define and communicate the database architecture and standards across teams.
• Own operational OLTP and analytics platforms strategy and execution.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and business partners.
• Develop technology lifecycle and roadmaps, including migrations and retirement strategies.
• Monitor and report key database performance metrics.
• Ensure data recoverability, availability, and integrity.
