Job summary

Zone 5 Technologies in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our robust infrastructure supporting UAS initiatives.

You will work with IT security, program leads, and desktop teams to ensure high availability, patching, monitoring, and compliance with CMMC 2.0. A Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years experience is required, with AWS/Azure, Windows/Linux proficiency, and scripting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five or more years of IT Systems Engineer experience with enterprise IT architecture.
• Proficiency across Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments.
• Experience with network security, firewalls, VPNs, and routing/switching.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Office 365.
• Knowledge of CMMC 2.0, DFARS 252.204-712, NIST 800-171 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new infrastructure to support growth and new requirements.
• Provide advanced Tier 3 support to the desktop team.
• Plan and execute projects as directed by leadership.
• Maintain patching, monitoring, and performance of enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with IT Security and engineers to enforce security standards.
• Ensure high availability and DR/COOP readiness across systems.
