Job summary

Zone 5 Technologies relies on a seasoned System Administrator to manage Linux and Windows servers and workstations, support a growing organization, and coordinate with the information assurance team to meet compliance.

The role requires 4+ years in system administration, strong Linux (Ubuntu) experience, AWS expertise or certification, and effective communication with vendors, customers, and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of System Administrator experience.
• Minimum of 2 years administering Linux with Ubuntu.
• AWS cloud environment expertise or certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interface with vendors, customers, and management.
• Manage multiple networks in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with RMF requirements for Windows and Linux.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Both Linux and Windows servers and workstations.
• Embrace new technologies to meet evolving requirements in a growing company
• Provide onsite IT support and escalation from desktop support team.
• Coordinate with the Information assurance team to meet compliance.
• Maintain a robust virtual and physical environment.
• Manage privileged access management.
• Support dev ops Linux requirements.

Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 4 (Four) years of System Administrator experience.
• Minimum of 2 (Two) years administering Linux operating systems with strong capability in administering Ubuntu servers and workstations.
• Expertiseor Certification in AWScloud environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interface effectively with external vendors, customers, and management.
• Manage multiple networks in a dynamic, demanding environment.
• Familiarity with Risk Management Framework requirements for Windows and Linux systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previousexperiencemaintainingnetworks inDOD Contractor environments.
• ExperiencemaintainingLinux environments.
• Experiencesupporting adeveloper opsenvironments.
• Experience with Administrating AWS instances.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).

Pay range for this role

$110,000 — $143,000 USD
