Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the AFNCR IT Services program at Joint Base Andrews, MD, and other key sites. You will work with government customers, leadership, and technical teams to translate mission needs into supportable IT services and architectures.

Responsibilities include governance, requirements validation, and concept-to-delivery system design across the service lifecycle. A DoD Secret clearance and IAT Level II are required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years or Master's with 10+ years experience; additional relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Active DoD Secret clearance at time of hire required.
• IAT Level II compliant (e.g., Sec+ CE or equivalent).
• Experience supporting enterprise IT, including networks, end-user services, cybersecurity, and service management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional coordination and deliver executive communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory and assist support to GAOs and government service owners.
• Draft and maintain MAJCOM-level guidance, SOPs, and alignment with DoD/NIST.
• Deliver end-to-end IT service governance across AFNCR and mission partners.
• Coordinate executive briefings and document minutes for governance boards.
• Manage staff inputs, deconflict feedback, and synthesize responses.
• Translate validated requirements into architectures, cost estimates, and sustainment plans.
• Develop systems-engineering artifacts including requirements baselines and interfaces.
• Collaborate with squadrons and contract leads to map requirements to service offerings.
