Job summary

Eagle Industries is seeking a mid- to senior-level IT Systems Engineer to own the design, maintenance, and reliability of the company's technology infrastructure. Based on-site in Harahan, this hands-on role keeps servers, networks, and cloud systems running smoothly across Eagle's headquarters, remote sites, and distributed workforce.

The Systems Engineer works closely with Eagle's IT Project Manager and coordinates with outside technology partners to ensure secure, stable, and well-documented

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four to eight years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, infrastructure administration, or similar role.
• Demonstrated experience supporting multi-site and remote environments.
• Direct experience administering or supporting a distribution ERP, ideally Epicor Prophet 21.

Responsibilities

• Administer Eagle's servers, virtual environments, directory services, and cloud-hosted systems.
• Manage Microsoft 365, including accounts, email, file storage, and collaboration tools.
• Maintain network infrastructure across locations, including firewalls, switches, wireless, and VPN.
• Provision and manage employee devices, including deployment, patching, and endpoint security.
• Monitor system performance and availability, resolving issues before they impact operations.
• Maintain and test backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
• Manage identity and access, including SSO, MFA, and permissions.
• Apply security best practices across systems and respond to threats.
• Serve as Epicor Prophet 21 administrator, keeping ERP stable and available.
• Plan, test, and apply Prophet 21 updates and version upgrades with Epicor and partners.
• Configure ERP modules/workflows to match processes.
• Build reports/dashboards using SQL and Crystal Reports; administer Phocas and Comparatio.
• Troubleshoot and train Prophet 21 users across departments.
• Partner with IT Project Manager on rollouts; coordinate with vendors.
• Document systems and procedures, and recommend improvements.
