Job summary
Search Services in Houston, TX seeks a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join a high-performing IT team. You will support, maintain, and enhance enterprise infrastructure across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Copilot, networking, storage, backup, and security platforms.
The role emphasizes secure, reliable, and scalable IT services in a fast-paced environment. You will work with business stakeholders and leadership to drive continuous improvement in cybersecurity, cloud services, and enterprise
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on enterprise infrastructure experience (Microsoft 365/Azure, networking, cybersecurity).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and interest in Copilot governance and security.
- Experience with Azure services including Entra ID, identity management, and cloud administration.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless networking.
- Expertise with Windows Server, Windows desktop, and Linux OS hardening and patching.
- Experience with vulnerability management, SIEM, and Defender or similar security tools.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for servers, AD, virtualization, storage, backups, endpoints, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Support and troubleshoot enterprise networking: LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Administer and support Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, including identity management and security controls.
- Support Copilot and AI platforms with governance, security, and adoption efforts.
- Monitor SIEM and security platforms to identify risks and coordinate incident response.
- Assist with cybersecurity incident handling and containment.
- Lead vulnerability management across Windows, Linux, and cloud services; promote best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to enhance reliability and security.
- Serve as escalation point for complex issues; support 24x7 operations as needed.
