Job summary

White & Case LLP is seeking a Senior Engineer, Applications Systems to design, build, and support enterprise systems across global environments. The role requires independent work, technical leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

You will own deployment lifecycles, manage CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, and integrate cloud technologies and AI-enabled solutions while maintaining robust security and data integrity across systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience as a systems engineer or similar role with responsibility across Windows and Linux server environments.
• Proven experience with Windows Server administration, Linux administration, and database technologies (SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with CI/CD practices and Azure DevOps; cloud configurations and troubleshooting.
• Python for scripting and integration, plus experience with Integration Builder and Boomi or similar iPaaS tools.
• Networking fundamentals and enterprise security tools such as Akamai, CyberArk and CrowdStrike.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, administer and optimize Windows Server environments including installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Design, build, administer and optimize Linux environments with scripting for automation and monitoring.
• Manage and support database platforms including SQL Server, MongoDB and PostgreSQL, with HA, backup/restore.
• Own application deployment and lifecycle management for enterprise applications, including packaging and environment management.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and IaC.
• Configure, support and troubleshoot cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Develop integration solutions using Python, Integration Builder and Boomi; API design and data transformation.
• Design and support networks (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls) and security compliance.
• Provide on-call support, incident handling and root cause analysis; maintain runbooks and run documentation.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, security, networking and operations teams.
