Job summary

Blue Cross NC seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst to leverage functional and technical expertise across systems and applications. This role defines requirements, design, and technical solutions for complex business issues and coordinates with IT on issue resolution and upgrades.

The role serves as liaison, helps improve processes, and leads business testing strategies while supporting production and project activities in a Hybrid Flex environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical knowledge and support in system/application and procedural issues to the business and IT.
• Review, analyze and develop solutions and business processes for business systems and quantify impact for quality and cost effectiveness.
• Coordinate ongoing user support for ad hoc questions and service requests.
• Ensure efficiency of reporting and data tools for trend analysis and business needs.
• Coordinate development of system support processes with IT and resolve production issues.
• Elicit and document business requirements and prepare functional specifications for long-term solutions.
• Act as Business Lead/Coordinator on large projects and facilitate intake, scheduling, implementation and review.
