Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to leverage strong functional and technical expertise across systems and applications. This role defines, evaluates, and validates requirements, business functional design, and technical design for complex business issues within assigned domain areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical knowledge and support in system/application and procedural issues to the business and IT.
• Review, analyze and develop solutions and applicable business processes for business systems while quantifying business impact to ensure quality, cost effectiveness, timeliness and customer service.
• Coordinate ongoing user support for ad hoc questions, inquiries, and service requests.
• Ensure efficiency of reporting and data tools for supported business area use and for trend analysis.
• Coordinate development of system support processes with IT; resolve production support issues and document all activities.
• Work collaboratively to elicit and document business requirements and prepare functional specs considering technical capabilities of the system.
• Act as Business Lead/Coordinator on large, complex projects/initiatives.
• Facilitate intake, scheduling, implementation, and post-implementation support for projects.
