Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to translate business needs into actionable IT solutions across our systems. You’ll define requirements, design functional specifications, and collaborate with IT to deliver complex projects in a healthcare setting.

This hybrid role requires strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to lead testing efforts, coordinate production support, and partner with business stakeholders to optimize data reporting and system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical knowledge and support in system/application issues.
• Review, analyze and develop business processes and quantify impact.
• Coordinate IT on issue resolution, testing, upgrades and complex projects.
• Coordinate daily production support and document activities.
• Ensure efficient reporting and data tools for trend analysis.
• Lead development of system support processes with IT and resolve production issues.
• Collaborate on projects to elicit requirements and prepare functional specifications.
• Act as Business Lead/Coordinator on large projects.
• Facilitate intake, scheduling, implementation and post-implementation reviews.
• Coordinate business testing activities and influence testing strategy.
• Analyze results and provide impact assessments and recommendations.
• Train/coach others on testing protocols and plans.
• Assist IT with hardware/software upgrades and security changes.
• Configure and maintain critical system tables and data elements across environments.
• Analyze, develop and implement configuration changes to improve performance.

Education

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree
