Job summary

Ardent Health is seeking a Senior IT Systems Analyst to support hospital system applications, focusing on Epic Orders and Epic Bugsy Infection Control. You will analyze workflows, design and test solutions, and collaborate across clinical, quality, and IT teams to improve care delivery.

Responsibilities include evaluating current processes, leading testing, ensuring timely issue resolution, and supporting disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

4 years of experience in clinical, operational or IT systems support.
BA/BS degree or equivalent.
Epic Orders, Epic Bugsy Infection Control, or Epic ClinDoc certification.
Knowledge of provider, ancillary staff and/or infection control workflows and best practices.
Experience in data analysis and report generation with infection control metrics.
Proven ability to translate business issues into application solutions.
Strong understanding of application technology and system design.
Basic project management skills and ability to lead meetings.

Responsibilities

Translate best practices in hospital, clinical, quality & accreditation standards into application and workflow designs.
Analyzes application release notes and technical specs to identify impact and opportunities; plans and executes on new functionality in upgrades.
Evaluates current state processes and identifies gaps to future state goals related to IT application utilization.
Provides ongoing analysis, technical and functional support for systems throughout the organization.
Independently manages assigned project tasks to remain on track with timelines; communicates risks, delays and issues.
Represents application area in operational meetings at corporate, service line and facility levels.
Mentors teammates in application design and support.
Leads testing efforts and ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
Participates in business continuity planning and assists with disaster recovery measures.
Participates in after-hours support On-Call rotation.
