Job summary

IJW Whiskey Company, LLC (IJW) is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to manage our IT infrastructure across servers, networks, and security. You will ensure high availability, perform troubleshooting, and implement backup/disaster recovery.

The role emphasizes automation, training, and collaboration with management on upgrades. Requires 10+ years in systems administration, solid virtualization experience (VMware/Hyper-V) and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of server administration, network protocols and IT security.
• Hands-on with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with storage, backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, MCSA or CCNA are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain servers, storage systems and virtualization to ensure high availability.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems promptly.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to protect data.
• Administer LAN/WAN, monitor traffic, enforce security policies.
• Provide end-user support and create documentation and training materials.
• Plan tech upgrades with management and propose scalable solutions.
• Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency.
