Job summary

J.w.-Pepper- seeks an Systems & Applications Administrator to manage and improve server infrastructure, enterprise platforms, and business apps. The role spans Windows and Linux, virtualization, Microsoft 365, storage, and security, with emphasis on reliability and performance.

The ideal candidate will combine strong sysadmin skills with application support across a diverse tech stack, working with internal and third-party applications and driving automation and optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years administering enterprise infrastructure and business systems.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Experience with VMware or similar virtualization platforms.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 services.
• Experience supporting business-critical applications.
• Working knowledge of networking, storage, backup, and cybersecurity concepts.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.
• Support virtualization platforms and related infrastructure.
• Assist with storage, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Monitor system performance and availability for operational stability.
• Perform patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Manage identity and access controls (Active Directory).
• Support cloud-based infrastructure and SaaS platforms.
• Participate in infrastructure projects and deployments.
• Serve as a technical resource for applications and integrations.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, and performance issues.
• Coordinate incident resolution with developers, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Participate in deployment, testing, and change management activities.
• Create and maintain application support documentation and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
• Assist in supporting data workflows between business systems.
