Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT and 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise IT. You will collaborate with management on upgrades, security, and compliance initiatives.

Our strategic partnership with one of the nation's largest independent Wine & Spirits distributors has enabled us to offer 22 products across four unique private label bourbon brands in 28 states. Key Responsibilities:

System Administration:

• Manage and maintain our servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data.

Network Management:

• Administer and configure our local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) to ensure seamless connectivity for users and devices.
• Monitor network traffic and security, implement firewalls, and enforce network policies to protect against cyber threats.

Security and Compliance:

• Develop and enforce security protocols, including access controls, data encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.

User Support and Training:

• Provide technical support to end-users, addressing their hardware and software-related inquiries.
• Conduct training sessions and create documentation to empower employees to effectively use technology resources.

IT Infrastructure Planning:

• Collaborate with management to plan and execute technology upgrades and expansion projects.
• Assess the organization's future technology needs and propose scalable solutions.

Automation and Optimization:

• Identify opportunities for process automation to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Optimize system performance and resource utilization to enhance overall productivity.

Must have Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Systems Administrator or a similar role, with at least 10 years of experience.
• In-depth knowledge of server administration, network protocols, and IT security principles.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Familiarity with storage systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with team members and end-users.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, MCSA, or CCNA will be a plus.
