Job summary

Universal Systems, Inc. is hiring a Senior Systems Administrator for the Salt Lake City Professional Services team. You will own the reliability, security, and upgrade path of client environments across Microsoft 365, servers, networks, and backups.

The role involves hands-on work, complex escalations, and on-site client engagements with after-hours on-call rotation. You will administer MS 365 services (Entra ID, CA, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online) and manage Windows Server/AD,

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing production infrastructure across multiple tech areas.
• Strong hands-on with Microsoft 365 stack and identity/services.
• Excellent communication with technical and business leaders.
• Experience leading incident response and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own health, security, recoverability, capacity, and documentation of client environments.
• Resolve escalations and identify root causes to prevent recurrences.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, CA, licensing, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online.
• Manage Windows Server, AD, and virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware).
• Oversee backup operations, restores, and DR objectives.
• Administer network services and security controls (firewalls, VLANs, VPNs).
• Lead client onboardings, migrations, and office builds; drive infrastructure modernization.
• Maintain diagrams, runbooks, and environment records; communicate risks clearly.
