Job summary

OpenKrill is seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator to own and evolve our IT ecosystem. You will design, implement, and refine systems to improve security, efficiency, and productivity across the company.

You will lead administration of our cloud-native stack (Google Workspace, Okta, Jamf, Slack, Jira Service Management) and build automation with Python/JavaScript, n8n, and native tools. A proactive owner mindset is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a cloud-first environment.
• Experience managing Google Workspace and Jamf for Apple devices.
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence) and building automations.
• Solid understanding of IT security, networking, and AWS basics.
• Experience with Identity and Access Management (Okta).
• Scripting/automation skills (Python/JavaScript) and building workflows in n8n.
• Networking know-how (firewalls, Wi‑Fi, VPN, DNS/DHCP) and monitoring with Datadog.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and strategize the roadmap for corporate IT infrastructure and policies.
• Administer and automate core SaaS/IaaS platforms, leverage scripting and AI tooling to reduce manual work.
• Manage AI tooling usage, SSO/SCIM provisioning, and data access security.
• Secure and optimize systems with endpoint protection, access policies, and performance monitoring.
• Provide reliable employee IT support, documentation, and escalation handling for the service desk.
• Collaborate with Security, HR, Engineering and other teams to deliver technology solutions.
