Discovery Life Sciences is seeking a System Administrator to join our IT team in Huntsville, AL. The role spans Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory/Entra ID, and AWS cloud infrastructure, with a focus on reliability and automation.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support on‑prem and cloud environments and participate in DR exercises. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of systems administration experience, strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python), and hands‑on

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a Systems Administrator in production environments.
• Associate or bachelor degree with corresponding professional experience as stated.
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, PowerShell and Linux automation skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Linux systems on‑premises and AWS.
• Administer Active Directory / Entra ID identity services and 365/Exchange where needed.
• Manage Hyper‑V cluster, Veeam backups, and disaster recovery testing.
• Develop automation using Bash, Python, and Ansible for Linux and Windows.
• Provide 3rd level support and document infrastructure standards.
