Job summary

Huntsville Hospital seeks a seasoned System Administrator to provide 7x24x365 support for enterprise servers, storage, and networking. You will organize deliverables, monitor performance, and serve as escalation point for Level 1 and 2 staff.

You will design and document architectures, manage backups, disaster recovery testing, and lead staff training. Experience with VMware, Windows/Linux multi-server environments, SANs, and complex topology is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in computer science or related field; extensive experience may be considered.
• MCSE, VCA/VCP, or VCAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 7x24x365 support for data, image, and video network systems at service levels.
• Escalation point for Level 1 and 2 System Administrators; mentor staff.
• Document physical and logical layouts, architecture standards, and server builds.
• Train staff on new technologies; maintain internal IT policies and wiki.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and manage disaster recovery/business continuity testing and design.
• Manage servers, install/configure software and hardware, and ensure security and backups.
