Job summary

Larimer County is seeking a Senior Technical Support Specialist to join the IT Device Services team. You will provide expert technical support for county employees, troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and AV systems, and coordinate across IT and external vendors.

This on-site role emphasizes reliability, collaboration, and continuous learning. You’ll work on technology lifecycle management, deployments, and cross-functional projects, with a customer-focused, proactive approach to service

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in information systems and technology or similar duties.
• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required; substitutions allowed.
• IT-related or ITIL certification is preferred (e.g., Help Desk Analyst, MCSA, A+).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, responsive, customer-focused technical support to County employees.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and peripheral issues using advanced troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, network access, and performance issues with collaboration from Infrastructure teams.
• Maintain analog and VoIP phones, AV systems, and video conferencing technologies.
• Assist with software installations, upgrades, licensing, and administration of supported services.
• Plan technology implementations, equipment replacements, and cross-functional projects with County departments.
