Job summary

Larimer County seeks a Senior Technical Support Specialist to join IT Device Services. You’ll provide professional, responsive technical support to County employees for hardware, software, peripherals, and AV systems, ensuring reliability and security.

This on-site, Monday–Friday role emphasizes collaboration, ownership, and resolving complex incidents. You’ll plan deployments, assist with licenses, mentor teammates, and work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver service

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in information systems and technology.
• Associate's degree, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or Information Systems.
• IT-related or ITIL certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, responsive, customer-focused technical support to County employees.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues with advanced troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, network access, and performance issues with coordination.
• Maintain analog and VoIP phones, communication equipment, and AV systems.
• Assist with software installations, upgrades, licensing, and administration of services.
• Plan deployments, equipment replacements, system upgrades, and cross-functional projects.
• Support equipment lifecycle management, inventory accuracy, and purchasing standards.
• Research and recommend hardware, software, and technical solutions aligned with County standards.
• Serve as a technical resource, share knowledge, and develop support documentation.
• Collaborate on cross-functional teams for automated solutions and development efforts.
• Present and update project status or solutions to team members and supervisors.
