Job summary

Larimer County Department of Health and Environment seeks a Senior Technical Support Specialist to join the IT Device Services team. You will provide professional, responsive technical support to County employees, diagnose hardware, software, and peripheral issues, and contribute to technology lifecycle management.

This on-site role emphasizes collaboration, project coordination, and cross-functional work with IT teams and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in information systems and technology or similar duties.
• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience in business administration, computer science, engineering, electronics, or information systems.
• IT-related or ITIL certification preferred (such as Help Desk Analyst, MCSA, A+).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, responsive, and customer-focused technical support to County employees.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and peripheral issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques.
• Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, network access, and performance issues; collaborate with Infrastructure teams as needed.
• Troubleshoot and maintain analog and VoIP phones, communication equipment, and video conferencing systems.
• Assist with software installations, upgrades, system maintenance, licensing compliance, and administration of supported technology services.
• Plan and participate in technology implementations, equipment replacements, and cross-functional projects.
• Support equipment lifecycle management, inventory accuracy, purchasing, and technology standards.
• Research and recommend hardware, software, and technical solutions based on needs and standards.
• Serve as a technical resource; develop support documentation and collaborate with IT teams to resolve issues.
