Job summary

Payward is seeking an IT SOX controls testing lead to own the testing program across ITGC domains, including access management, change control, and operations. This hands-on role sits within the Risk & Audit function at a crypto exchange with blockchain-native infrastructure.

The role will build testing templates, collaborate with SOX Compliance, and work with external auditors to ensure rigorous assurance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT audit or SOX compliance with ITGC testing.
• Experience in crypto/fintech environments preferred.
• CISA and CPA certifications required or in progress.
• Strong knowledge of COSO, COBIT, PCAOB IT standards.
• Ability to work across multi-entity structures and jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent ITGC testing across access, change, and operations.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of IT controls.
• Document procedures and results for audits and external regulators.
• Identify new systems or changes and assess SOX implications.
• Coordinate remediation validation and status reporting.
