Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Security GRC leader to own ITGC and SOX assurance for our growing tech stack. You will translate regulatory and internal requirements into concrete controls, partner with Internal Audit and engineering, and drive continuous assurance across our systems.

You will define acceptance criteria, design robust controls, and partner with Finance, Engineering, and auditors to ensure audit readiness. This role emphasizes collaboration, automation, and scalable governance.

Qualifications

• Thrive at the pace of a hypergrowth company.
• Have led or been a senior contributor to an ITGC/SOX 404 readiness program.
• Strong engineering fluency: read code, CI/CD, and challenge designs on technical merits.

Responsibilities

• Define control requirements across ITGC domains for SOX-in-scope systems.
• Set initial control bar for systems before go-live with auditability and evidence retention.
• Pressure-test changes for SOX impact during design and assess scope changes.
• Own second-line control monitoring and automated evidence collection for ITGCs.
• Drive control deficiency remediation with cross-functional partners and re-test.
• Maintain alignment with broader compliance portfolio across SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001/42001.
