Job summary

Munich Re is seeking a Senior IT Risk Officer to lead IT audits, regulatory responses, and governance across North American and global technology environments. You will coordinate with IT teams, auditors, regulators, and executives to deliver risk-based recommendations and credible remediation tracking in a dynamic, globally connected setting.

The role requires strong communication, deep IT controls knowledge, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while upholding regulatory

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in IT audit, IT compliance, technology risk management or a related field in highly regulated environments.
• Degree in Computer Engineering/IT, Business Administration, or equivalent IT controls experience.
• Strong understanding of IT audit practices, governance frameworks, technology controls, regulatory expectations, and audit evidence requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central point of contact for internal and external IT audits and regulatory inquiries.
• Coordinate end-to-end IT audits from planning through fieldwork, reporting and remediation follow-up.
• Prepare clear reporting and executive materials for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
• Maintain audit-related registers, measures tracking, and issue follow-up.
