Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager/PMO lead to oversee medium to long-term initiatives with high risk and regulatory oversight. You will coordinate IT Analysts, develop standards, and liaise with stakeholders across the bank. The role requires strong PMBoK knowledge, certifications, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of proven Project Manager experience.
• PMP, CSM, or SAFe certifications highly desirable.
• Experience managing IT projects with high/regulatory oversight.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of PMBoK and project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT projects with a high to critical level of risk/regulatory oversight.
• Indirectly manage and/or oversee IT Analysts on project tasks.
• Develop, maintain, and updating IT Project Management standards and procedures.
• Serve as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders to identify, document, and resource requirements.
• Manage projects with high-level of Project Management rigor (PMBoK/industry standards).
• Ensure supporting project collateral is created in adherence to IT Project Management standards and procedures.
• Guide cross-functional project teams through issue and risk management.
• Manage IT technology initiatives from concept through implementation.
• Oversee multiple projects with medium to long-term horizons with little supervision.
• Oversee daily project activity.
• May use waterfall, agile, Scaled Agile, or a mix of techniques.
• Identify and coordinate mitigation of project risks.
• Identify and coordinate resolution of project issues.
• Escalate program issues to IT PMO leadership as needed.
• Develop and report KPIs to IT PMO and leadership.
• Monitor and report on project status to leadership and bank leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.
