Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science or related technical field or equivalent work experience.
• Typically, four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.
• PMP or other professional project management certification.
• Five or more years' experience in information technology or business-related activity, including two years in a technical/leadership role for the IT Project Manager level.
• Eight or more years' experience in information technology or business-related activity, including two years in a senior technical/leadership role for the Sr IT Project Manager level.
• Project management experience: ability to understand technical and functional requirements as they relate to project objectives and project planning activities.
• Knowledge of information technology terms, equipment, systems, functions and major vendors.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Lead large, complex, information technology initiatives.
• Provide effective management and oversight of large, complex technology projects, ensures project delivery and IT business solution delivery on time, within budget and to scope.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple large and/or complex information systems projects through all phases of the project management life cycle.
• Provide leadership to IT project managers and staff in the development and implementation of information technology projects and initiatives.
• Communicate expectations for technology delivery, project delivery and IT business delivery to management and client organizations.
• Operate with significant independence as the principal project representative.
• Responsible for all project development including design, analysis, feasibility studies, budget and schedule; establish milestones, negotiate timelines and schedule; oversee complex projects across multiple technology and business groups.
• Review and advise on industry direction, best practices and operational practices to ensure excellent delivery of IT systems to the enterprise.
• Facilitate technical and business initiatives and ensure stakeholders understand and balance outcomes.
• Lead scoping, estimating, scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, monitoring and governance for projects.
• Manage project risks, adherence to standards, and communications to teams, stakeholders and steering bodies.
• Provide strategic advice and consultation around governance, technology and project leadership and implementation of IT business processes.
• Provide technical leadership to staff and perform other responsibilities as assigned.
