Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the delivery and ongoing management of multiple IT programs serving state government customers in the New England region. The role requires owning outcomes, customer relationships, financial performance, and team leadership to ensure high-quality solutions and aligned delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT experience with significant experience managing software development, maintenance, and/or IT support programs.
• Proven track record delivering complex IT programs.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC and experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience managing technical teams and working with software architects, developers, business analysts, testers, and other resources.
• Strong customer relationship management skills with senior stakeholders.
• Experience developing Statements of Work, estimates, staffing plans, schedules, and delivery assumptions.
• Experience managing large IT contracts involving maintenance, software development, and/or staff augmentation.
• Strong understanding of program and account financial management including revenue, cost, staffing, forecasting, and EBIT/margin.
• Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple IT programs ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and adherence to contractual commitments.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships with executives and IT leadership.
• Own program governance, scheduling, risks, issues, dependencies, and performance reporting.
• Provide leadership to program managers, technical leads, analysts, and delivery staff.
• Identify delivery risks and develop mitigation plans; manage SDLC execution.
• Align staffing with contracts and financial objectives; forecast and monitor EBIT.
• Develop and manage SOWs with scope, staffing, timelines, and pricing.
• Identify on-contract growth opportunities within assigned accounts and the broader region.
