Job summary

NYC Administration for Children's Services (ACS) seeks a Senior IT Architect to drive large-scale, enterprise-wide programs within the Office of Information Technology (OIT). Lead cross-functional teams, manage vendors, and ensure solutions align with agency missions and governance standards.

This role requires a strong background in enterprise, solutions, and network architecture, with PMP/ITIL familiarity and proven leadership in City government settings. NYC residency not required.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field.
• Six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or ten years of experience; or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage several complex software and infrastructure programs and/or projects concurrently from initiation to completion; ensure tasks and milestones are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Develop and execute a communication plan to ensure stakeholders at all levels are engaged and expectations are understood and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and manage deviations from project charter regarding scope, schedule, deliverables, and cost.
• Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, ensuring end-user requirements are met and systems are fully operational before deployment.
• Analyze, evaluate, and mitigate program risks and issues; develop risk mitigation strategies and elevate as needed.
• Provide periodic reports of relevant project information and metrics for presentation to executive management.
