Job summary

Red Sun Technology is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex enterprise technology initiatives, including software implementations, SaaS deployments, system integrations, data migrations, and business process improvements.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage external vendors, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to executive level standards, while maintaining strong stakeholder communication throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional IT project management experience, including enterprise software implementations.
• Experience managing complex technology projects involving multiple stakeholders and vendors.
• Experience implementing enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, ERP solutions, or integrated business systems.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and deliverables.
• Knowledge of system integration, data migration, testing, and deployment processes.
• Experience coordinating technical teams, business analysts, software vendors, and executive stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing IT projects for government agencies, public-sector organizations, or regulated environments.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certification.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP), SaaS implementations, or cloud-based applications.
• Experience managing data conversion, system integrations, and enterprise modernization initiatives.
• Prosci Change Management certification.
• Experience working with executive leadership and enterprise governance committees.
• Previous experience supporting California state or local government technology projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise IT projects from initiation through planning, implementation, deployment, and post-production support.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and executive dashboards.
• Manage enterprise software implementations, SaaS deployments, and technology modernization initiatives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, technical stakeholders, business units, and external implementation vendors.
• Oversee system integration, data migration, testing, and implementation readiness activities.
• Identify project risks, manage issues, develop mitigation strategies, and escalated critical concerns.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, project governance discussions, and executive status presentations.
• Manage project scope, change requests, resource allocation, and vendor deliverables.
• Coordinate business process improvements, organizational change management, and end-user training activities.
• Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements, quality standards, and contractual expectations.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment planning, system cutover, and post-implementation stabilization.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including risk registers, issue logs, status reports, and lessons learned.
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions to ensure successful delivery.
