Job summary

Clay is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to own the systems that keep our growing infrastructure reliable. You will manage MDM for macOS, CMDB and ITAM data, and partner with security to meet SOC 2 and ISO 27001 controls. You will govern SaaS tools and drive data accuracy across vendors and processes.

The role emphasizes durable processes, automation, and clear documentation, with a chance to influence IT strategy as Clay scales.

Qualifications

6–8+ years in IT, with senior operations, systems, or infrastructure experience
Experience operating IT systems at scale and owning critical processes
Deep MDM experience with cloud MDM platforms and scripting
Unix/macOS scripting (Bash) and Windows MDM familiarity
Strong Okta administration and identity management skills
Experience with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 in an IT context
Broad SaaS admin experience across Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom and related tools
Excellent documentation and communication skills

Responsibilities

Own MDM for macOS devices, including zero-touch enrollment and remediation
Own the CMDB, ITAM data, and vendor relationships; ensure data accuracy and reconciliations
Manage vendor contracts, renewals, licenses, and obligations
Support compliance benchmarks and evidence collection for audits
Administer and govern the SaaS stack across core tools
Maintain up-to-date runbooks and process documentation
Collaborate with Head of IT on change management and IT projects
