Job summary

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a senior leader to provide strategy and oversight of technology operations, including staff, systems, and services to support organizational goals.

You will guide enterprise IT projects, ensure cyber risk mitigation, and collaborate across divisions to maintain performance, reliability, and security of critical public safety systems. Working hours are standard with potential emergencies.

Qualifications

• Nine years of progressively responsible IT experience with at least three years in a supervisory/management role.
• Five years of progressively responsible IT experience with supervisory element (depending on the path).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to direct the activities of subordinates; assess staffing needs and assist in staff selection.
• Oversee enterprise IT projects aligning with timelines, budgets and standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure efficient communication and service delivery.
• Develop and enforce department-wide IT policies and procedures.
• Ensure system performance across functional areas and address high-impact issues.
