Job summary

The City of Grand Prairie seeks an Information Technology Infrastructure Services Manager to plan, implement, operate, secure, and maintain the city’s enterprise network, security, and telecommunications infrastructure. This role oversees wired/wireless networks, internet connectivity, voice systems, and network security technologies while leading staff and managing vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in Information Technology or related field, including enterprise routing, switching, wireless networking, telecommunications systems, firewalls, network monitoring, and vendor management.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Relevant industry certifications (Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE) preferred; ITIL Foundations preferred or able to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, operate, secure, and maintain enterprise network, security, and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Lead technical staff and vendor relationships; develop infrastructure standards and operational procedures.
• Oversee network performance, disaster recovery readiness, and service continuity.
• Manage budgets, roadmaps, and strategic plans for network and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Coordinate projects with stakeholders, vendors, and city departments to ensure timely delivery.
