Job summary

The City of Cedar Park seeks a Network Administrator to manage and secure the City’s IT networks, including LAN/WAN, wireless, and VoIP systems, reporting to the Assistant Director of Information Technology.

The ideal candidate will bring enterprise networking and cybersecurity experience, plus virtualization, cloud, and modern phone systems expertise, with strong problem-solving and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Two+ years of network administration experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training or experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software.
• Monitor network performance for reliability and security.
• Troubleshoot network issues across LAN/WAN and wireless.
• Maintain LAN/WAN and wireless networks integrity and availability.
• Administer and support VoIP/IP telephony.
