Job summary

New Era Technology, Inc. seeks a Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead coordination and implementation of NYU IT infrastructure and communications initiatives.

You will work with NYU personnel, architects, engineers, and vendors to ensure standards and objectives are met across planning, bidding, construction, and deployment phases. The role emphasizes maintaining NYU IT standards, protecting university infrastructure, and delivering on technical, operational, and quality

Qualifications

• PMP preferred; SCRUM or AGILE project management techniques a plus; network infrastructure knowledge and CCNA required

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and technical support to NYU personnel in planning, coordination, and implementation of ITS components of capital projects, renovations, new construction, and infrastructure initiatives.
• Participate in project meetings with architects, electrical engineers, consultants, NYU project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure NYU IT requirements, technology standards, and infrastructure needs are incorporated into project designs.
• Develop, review, and contribute to Statements of Work (SOWs), technical specifications, and project documentation utilizing NYU Communications standards and requirements for bidding and procurement.
• Maintain, update, and ensure the accuracy of project databases, tracking systems, and related documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with the review and validation of project invoices, billing, change orders, and related financial documentation to ensure alignment with approved scopes of work and contracted services.
• Assess project requirements and recommend staffing resources, technical expertise, and vendor support to execute projects.
• Maintain NYU IT infrastructure databases, including communications, wireless, structured cabling, and IP camera systems, ensuring records are current.
• Develop and recommend ITS Communications standards, guidelines, and best practices for NYU global projects and facilities.
• Coordinate meetings with NYU personnel, construction project managers, telecom and cabling vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders as required.
• Review contractor and vendor bids, evaluate responses, and provide recommendations to support qualified vendors and contractors.
• Monitor project progress and coordinate with stakeholders to identify risks, resolve issues, and ensure ITS deliverables align with schedules and NYU IT requirements.
• Review project designs and drawings to identify conflicts, gaps, or deficiencies impacting NYU IT infrastructure or operations.
• Support the transition of completed project infrastructure into NYU IT operations with proper documentation and records.
• Promote consistency and adherence to NYU IT standards across projects and identify opportunities to improve infrastructure design and operational efficiency
