Job summary

Waabi is hiring a Senior IT Engineer to support Texas operations, building and maintaining high-performance networks, compute clusters, and storage. The role focuses on security, automation, and scalable deployments to enable ongoing AI research and vehicle tech initiatives.

You will work with Infrastructure, Compute and Hardware teams, while coordinating with facilities for power and cabling. On-site work is required in Lancaster/ Texas area, with equity incentives and annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience designing high-performance compute clusters.
• Ability to build and manage scalable storage clusters.
• Experience with container orchestration and multi-cloud environments.
• Proven IT process automation and deployment experience.
• Experience across Mac/Windows/Linux hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and expand high-performance networks, compute, and storage.
• Lead security initiatives and ensure compliance with standards.
• Oversee incident response and remediation activities.
• Manage Linux server fleets including deployment and upgrades.
• Automate deployments using Ansible, Terraform, and related tools.
• Document network and server infrastructure comprehensively.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Compute, Support and Hardware teams.
• Coordinate with facilities to ensure HVAC, cabling, UPS work.
• Seek opportunities to automate and improve systems.
