Job summary

Waabi is growing its Infrastructure team in Dallas and seeks an experienced engineer to design, implement, and troubleshoot physical computers and networks for autonomous vehicle systems. You will partner with hardware and software teams to deploy OS images, data pipelines, and vehicle networks, supporting ML and CI workflows.

The role requires 5+ years in hardware/software infrastructure, Linux expertise, and experience with containers, orchestration, and configuration management.

Qualifications

• BS, MS/PhD in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Deep understanding of computer and network hardware and how selection affects performance and reliability.
• Experience with on-premise servers, network equipment and storage systems.
• Experience in Linux and Linux kernel (packaging, performance tuning, low level debugging, hardening).
• Experience with configuration management (Ansible preferred) and system administration.
• Familiarity with security concepts, access management, and data security.
• Experience with containers and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with high performance network design and debugging.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Experience with Python and Bash.
• Open-minded and collaborative team player with the willingness to help others.
• Passionate about self-driving technologies, solving hard problems, and creating innovative solutions.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environment; able to travel occasionally to United States.
