Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer VI to advance database architecture, governance, and operational maturity across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will influence roadmaps, standards, and governance while partnering with Solution Architects and engineers to enable secure, scalable database services.

In this senior role, you will lead multiple work streams, mentor teams, and translate business needs into resilient designs that align with enterprise strategy and risk

Qualifications

• Requires strong knowledge of database architecture, governance, and infrastructure leadership.
• Experience delivering multi-cloud, on-prem, and hybrid data services with security and compliance focus.
• Ability to mentor teams and influence cross-functional partners to achieve strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Drives multiple work streams by translating strategy into actionable requirements.
• Leads cross-functional collaboration among IT teams and business stakeholders.
• Guides design and delivery of resilient, scalable database infrastructure across environments.
• Promotes DevOps practices and agile/Waterfall methodologies in infrastructure projects.
• Develops and enforces standards, documentation, and governance for system designs.
• Mentors staff and aligns resources to meet enterprise roadmaps and risk controls.
