Job summary

The U.S. Fleet Forces Command in Norfolk, VA seeks a Senior Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC) to lead cyber operations within the N35 Division of the Operations Department. This role oversees messaging systems, incident response, and system hardening across all Navy messaging platforms.

You will supervise civilian staff, review logs, develop SOPs, and coordinate with DoD programs to ensure cybersecurity readiness. A DoD security clearance and federal employment suitability are required.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail demonstrated by analyzing messaging, processing failures, and error identification.
• Customer service orientation; advise customers on guidance for system issues.

Responsibilities

• You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the NAVAL COMPUTER AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS AREA MASTER STATION (NCTAMS).
• You will supervise all messaging systems installed at NCTAMS LANT (N31 Division).
• You will handle overall operations, configurations, troubleshooting, and restoral of systems and subsystems.
• You will supervise civilian personnel.
• You will identify and respond to fault conditions including restoral and mitigation actions as appropriate.
• You will review hardware status, software applications, and logs for lessons learned and trend analysis.
• You will ensure systems are routinely scanned, patched, and reported for highest cybersecurity readiness.
• You will analyze messaging processing failures and assist in identifying errors with NC3 PORs for emergent support.
• You will approve, develop and maintain SOPs and ensure training pipelines and JQRs are current.
• You will serve as SME and recommend operator and system administration process improvements.
