Job summary

U.S. Fleet Forces Command in the United States (Mississippi region) seeks a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC) to lead Information Architecture and information security within the N6 department for COMNAVMETOCCOM.

The role requires coordinating across departments, guiding staff objectives, and ensuring security compliance. Strong leadership, risk management, and budget planning skills are essential to advance Navy IT programs and enterprise governance.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in Naval C2 and enterprise IT concepts including engineering and acquisition.
• Knowledge of DON/DoD command structures and management procedures.
• Experience with federal interagency relationships and international procedures of interest to the Command.
• Life Cycle Management for large IT systems per SECNAV/SECDEF methods and applicable guidelines.
• Experience in supervision and personnel management to adjust operations under changing requirements.
• Ability to plan and integrate complex IT in operational environments including data, networks, and Navy core services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department heads to coordinate changes across departments.
• Establish staff objectives and assess progress toward achievement.
• Coordinate and integrate activities across organizations; analyze problems and propose economical solutions.
• Monitor daily execution items including HR and security compliance.
• Provide SCI information security risk management representation and reporting to the Navy Intelligence Community.
• Resolve technical issues and coordinate personnel resources effectively.
• Provide leadership in managing technical activities and directing resources.
