Job summary

Global Communications Services seeks an experienced IT Support Technician to provide second-tier support for PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware. You will resolve issues first-line cannot and coordinate with network services to restore service.

Recreating user problems helps drive fixes and improvements. The role includes mentoring junior staff, assisting PC/AV/Support technicians, and handling high-volume ticket processing across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Five years of computer system/network support experience.
• Five years with PC Network, Windows OS and Active Directory.
• Three years of experience with web-based ticket submission.
• IAT Level II certification or equivalent (CCNA Security, CySA+, GIC SP, GSEC, SSCP).

Responsibilities

• Provides second-tier end-user support for PC, server or mainframe applications and hardware.
• Resolves incidents that first-tier support cannot resolve.
• Monitors and coordinates with network services or development to restore service or identify core problems.
• Functions as task lead providing guidance and training for less experienced technicians.
