Job summary

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst IV to lead advanced financial analysis for the ITS program. The role focuses on building analytical tools, dashboards, and data models using Oracle and Power BI.

You will translate financial information into insights, refine SQL, and develop automated reports to support strategic decisions. Remote work is possible with periodic onsite requirements in Austin.

Qualifications

• Four to seven years of accounting, budgeting, financial planning, and cost analysis experience.
• Experience in IT environment and/or nonprofit/public sector preferred.
• Strong ability to transform data into actionable insights.
• Knowledge of Oracle ERP and financial systems.
• Experience with dashboards, data pipelines, and ad hoc analyses.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database tables for reporting needs.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines.
• Develop data models and dashboards in Power BI and Power Pivot.
• Monitor budgets, perform variance analyses, and prepare reports for ITS program.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate financial data into actionable insights.
