Job summary

Pinnacle in Columbus, GA, is seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to help health and modernization of our organization-wide technology stack. You will analyze, develop, install, test, and maintain hardware, software, networking, and security across diverse systems, and serve as an escalation point for junior engineers.

Responsibilities include system design reviews, software testing, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting deployment of partner software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years supporting a variety of technologies, including virtualization.
• Travel up to 25% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with system design reviews and software testing.
• Provides input on complex projects, often serving as a subject-matter-expert.
• Supports and deploys business partner software and packages.
• Modifies and/or debugs business partner-supplied utilities and packages.
• Monitors system capacity and performance using a broad set of tools.
• Provides technical support to various departments and users.
• Identifies troublesome trends and develops plans designed to resolve issues and prevent recurrences.
• Serves as escalation point for junior engineers
• Acts as subject-matter-expert for area of responsibility.
• Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Firm authority in a timely fashion.
• Performs other related duties as required.
