Job summary

Pinnacle is seeking a seasoned IT Systems Engineer to support organization-wide information technology infrastructure, focusing on modernization and reliability. The role covers analysis, development, installation, testing, and maintenance of hardware, software, networking, and security across multiple systems.

You will troubleshoot incidents and respond to user requests, acting as a primary escalation contact and SME for core domains. A bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field.
• 5–7 years of experience supporting a variety of technologies.
• Experience with virtualization and infrastructure components.
• Regular office environment experience is assumed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with system design reviews and software testing.
• Provides input on complex projects, often serving as a subject-matter-expert.
• Supports and deploys business partner software and packages.
• Modifies and/or debugs business partner-supplied utilities and packages.
• Monitors system capacity and performance using a broad set of tools.
• Provides technical support to various departments and users.
• Identifies troublesome trends and develops plans designed to resolve issues and prevent recurrences.
• Serves as escalation point for junior engineers
• Acts as subject-matter-expert for area of responsibility.
• Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area and raise/report violations.
