Quarterhill Inc. seeks a Senior Director, IT to lead corporate IT strategy, operations, and a hands-on player-coach approach across locations.

You will own budgets, service performance, risk management, and partner with cybersecurity leaders to drive secure, reliable technology and an exceptional employee experience.

This role emphasizes acquisition integration, IT resilience, and continuous improvement in service delivery and stakeholder partnership.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive IT leadership experience across multiple locations.
• Proven ability to develop IT roadmaps and align investments with business needs.
• Strong technical judgment and a player-coach leadership style.
• Experience supporting mixed Windows and Apple environments (MacBooks, macOS).
• Ability to build accountable teams, manage competing priorities, and make decisions independently.
• Strong communication and business partnership skills with executive stakeholders.
• Experience leading corporate IT integration or major technology transformation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate IT strategy, roadmap, and operating model aligned to business priorities.
• Partner with business leaders to translate needs into practical IT solutions.
• Oversee daily IT operations, end-user support, incident resolution, and service levels.
• Drive IT resilience, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness with cyber partner alignment.
• Oversee identity and access management across platforms and enforcement of security controls.
• Lead IT integration for acquisitions and coordinate technology changes with stakeholders.
• Manage IT budgeting, asset lifecycle, and vendor relationships.
• Build and develop an accountable IT team and foster collaboration across the business.
