Innoflight, a San Diego-based aerospace and defense innovator, seeks a Senior IT Cyber Security Specialist to protect its secure network infrastructure and mission-critical systems. You will lead RMF initiatives, maintain DoD security compliance, and mentor junior professionals in a fast-paced defense environment.

The role requires a Top Secret U.S. clearance and hands-on experience with RMF, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC Level 2, and DISA STIGs, along with managing SIEM, VPNs, and vulnerability

Qualifications

• RMF implementation and ATO support experience.
• Experience maintaining DoD security requirements (NIST, CMMC, DISA STIGs).
• Strong communication and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
• Active TS U.S. Security Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF activities across systems and environments.
• Develop and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, RARs, and RMF artifacts.
• Support ATO and IATT packages via eMASS.
• Perform vulnerability scanning, patching, and system hardening.
• Manage SIEM, IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection, VPNs, and security tooling.
• Respond to security incidents with root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Create SOPs, docs, and diagrams for cybersecurity operations.
• Collaborate with IT, Engineering, and government customers on security objectives.
• Assist end users with security configurations and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff.
