Job summary

Austin Energy is seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst Senior to join the Data Office. The role focuses on researching, analyzing, and documenting effective business applications and IT requirements to support enterprise solutions.

You will lead requirements sessions, model business processes, develop statements of work, evaluate systems, and perform cost-benefit analyses to drive informed decisions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field plus two years of experience.
• Experience may substitute for education for up to four years.

Responsibilities

• Define business, financial and operations requirements and systems goals.
• Lead requirements gathering sessions and elicit requirements and process flows.
• Create complex models, use cases, and diagrams for developers and vendors.
• Develop statements of work for RFPs.
• Evaluate compatibility of IT systems and data interfaces.
• Review existing systems and propose improvements and investments.
• Perform cost-benefit and ROI analyses to support decisions.
• Research software and hardware to justify recommendations.
• Write and deliver reports addressing trouble areas in IT applications.
• Coordinate and perform end-user testing and post-implementation support.
