Job summary

The State of Washington's Department of Social and Health Services is seeking an IT Quality Assurance Specialist to test financial applications and ensure readiness for One Washington and Workday transitions. You will design test scenarios, collaborate with developers and analysts, and document defects to prevent production issues.

In an Agile environment, you’ll adapt as requirements change, validate data, and support user acceptance testing and production-readiness reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field with four years IT experience in software testing.
• Eight years of IT experience performing functional software testing.
• At least three years hands-on testing experience with mid- to large-scale enterprise applications across the software testing life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute testing for financial applications.
• Review requirements and develop test plans, cases, and data.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and interface testing.
• Validate financial data and application results.
• Document, track, and retest defects.
• Clarify requirements and resolve issues with developers and analysts.
• Support user acceptance testing and production-readiness reviews.
• Test changes related to One Washington and Workday.
• Report testing results, risks, and recommendations.
