Job summary

Dallas County is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to provide strategic analysis in collaboration with business units. You will examine processes end-to-end to identify risks and opportunities, and work with IT staff to design new programs and test them thoroughly.

The role requires five years of related experience, strong communication with stakeholders, and expertise across SDLC, data analysis, and process improvement. This is a full-time on-site position with the County IT team.

Qualifications

• Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems or a related field.
• Five years of job-related experience in business analysis or related areas.
• Preferred certifications in Business Analysis, ITIL or Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with IT staff to design programs, processes, projects and software and assists with testing.
• Leads requirements elicitation using interviews, documents, surveys and workshops.
• Ensures alignment between user, funding, technical requirements and system capabilities.
• Produces project analysis documentation including BRD, use cases, and UAT plans.
• Conducts change impact analysis and designs process improvements with data management focus.
• Facilitates requirements prioritization based on business value.
